COMPETITIONS
The BONIFANTES Boys’ Choir is an artistic organism that is involved in a great many competitions, and so can be said to have continued on the work of the Hradec Králové Male-voice Choir, which won 6 gold and 2 silver medals under the direction of choirmaster Jan Míšek between 1998 and 2002, including gold medal at the inaugural World Choir Olympics in the Austrian town of Linz.
Not even two years after having been founded, the BONIFANTES Choir had managed to win two silver and one gold medal at the international competition known as Iuventus Mundi Cantat Olomouc 2001. Since then the choir has taken only gold and the BONIFANTES Boys’ Choir returned to the competition in Olomouc after 3 years in the year 2004. In addition to the gold medal won, the 99, 98, and 95 points from a possible 100 awarded, and victory in the boys’ choir, male-voice Choir, and musica sacra categories, the BONIFANTES choir was the Overall Winner of the competition ahead of the other 159 choirs taking part.
